On Saturday, September 15, our President and CEO Dan Palmier attended InterVol’s Off the Vine fundraising auction dinner at the Memorial Art Gallery in Downtown Rochester, New York.
InterVol has a singular goal: to recover viable unused medical supplies from hospitals and clinics, distributing lifesaving materials and providing medical services to those in need. To date, InterVol has shipped supplies to 74 countries around the world including a recent significant disaster relief mission in Puerto Rico.
InterVol is a not-for-profit near and dear to our heart, and ONE that we’ve supported in the past. Dan represented his charity The ONE Foundation in support of our charitable partner. As a Humanitarian Hero Sponsor, we’re inspired by the generosity of all who contributed to InterVol’s successful night.
The keynote speech was given by InterVol’s founder Ralph Pennino, M.D., and co-founder Tim O’Connor, M.D. Longtime WHAM13 anchor Ginny Ryan was the evening’s Mistress of Ceremonies.
The gourmet auction dinner, catered by Max of Eastman Place, consisted of a silent and live auction. California-based professional auctioneer Matt Chung led the live auction during dinner and helped to raise over $235,000 for InterVol. Benefits of the evening will be used to support InterVol’s three major programs: Recovery of Unused Medical Supplies, Volunteer Medical Professionals, and Friends Across Borders.
Both auctions featured 107 gifts donated by local and global donors. Guests even had the opportunity to bid on vacations in diverse destinations ranging from Florida to France, exclusive culinary opportunities, and much more. Guests also participated in a raffle for a ring gifted by Mann’s Jewelers.
“InterVol’s cause is of great importance to everyone at The ONE Foundation,” said Palmier. “We are blessed to be part of the success of InterVol’s Off the Vine event and look forward to continuing our support of this incredible organization.” The next stop for The ONE Foundation is the Marine Corps Marathon where The ONE Foundation, formerly The Palmier Foundation will attempt to exceed last year’s raise of $71,600.
Coming soon: We’re grateful to sponsor Team InterVol in the 2018 Marine Corps Marathon on October 28 in Arlington, Virginia. This marks our second consecutive year as a sponsor for the organization. We vastly exceeded our donation goal last year, raising over $71,600 for the organization. Our goal is to surpass last year’s raise and complete the marathon!
